About Dickinson and Morris
Dickinson and Morris has been making and baking pork pies for over 170 years from their world-famous Ye Olde Pork Pie Shoppe in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, the spiritual home of the pork pie. The business was founded when John Dickinson opened a bakery in 1851, building on his grandmother Mary Dickinson's innovation of hand-raising pastry with a wooden dolly and introducing jelly to protect the meat. The Dickinson and Morris Melton Mowbray pork pie is made with 100% outdoor-bred British pork, perfectly seasoned with a unique white pepper blend, encased in rich hot water crust pastry without artificial additives. Their Large 454g pie was crowned Best Melton Mowbray Pork Pie at the British Pie Awards 2019, scoring an exceptional 99 out of 100. In 2009, Melton Mowbray Pork Pies received Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) status, protecting this British culinary heritage. Now part of Samworth Brothers who stepped in after a 1992 fire and restored the historic shoppe with English Heritage, Dickinson and Morris expanded into supermarket retailers in 1996. Their range includes Large, Individual, Snack, and Mini sizes, plus seasonal specialty pies featuring ingredients like duck, chestnuts, and Calvados jelly. Using Grocefully to compare Dickinson and Morris prices across UK retailers helps you find the best deals on these award-winning pork pies.
